The Children's Centres in Wetherby and Boston Spa are now open!
Covering Wetherby and Villages West, and Boston Spa and Villages South, the Children's Centres are offering Parent Support Groups, Toddler Groups, C-Card and a range of other services. Call Julie or Patricia on the numbers above, for more information.
The Children’s Centre Core Offer:
- Appropriate support and outreach to families who need it.
- Information and advice to fathers and mothers/carers on a range of subjects including local childcare, looking after babies and young children;
- Support to childminders through a quality assured, co-ordinated network e.g. providing shared training opportunities, loan of toys and equipment;
- Drop in sessions and other activities for children, mothers and fathers/grandparents/carers at the centre, e.g. play groups, parent groups;
- Links with Job Centre Plus, to encourage and support labour market participation parents/ carers who wish to consider training and employment;
- Support to access community health services.
