EPOSS works in partnership to serve young people and families across a number schools in the North East of Leeds

 

Extended Services Core Offer
 
The Government have set out a Core Offer of services that they would like all schools to offer access to (in partnership with local authorities and local providers) by 2010:
  •  VARIED MENU OF ACTIVITIES: Provide access to a variety of fun and stimulating activities for all children and young people.
  • CHILDCARE:  Primary Schools provide access to high quality childcare from 8:00 am — 6:00 pm, 5 days a week, in accordance with their communities' needs.
  • PARENTING SUPPORT: Access to information sessions, supporting transitions, signposting toinformation, providing advice & support, access to parenting groups and family learning sessions (where need is identified).
  • SWIFT & EASY ACCESS:  Working closely with specialist services to ensure school children & young people with additional needs are identified early and supported.
  • COMMUNITY ACCESS: Schools to provide access to their facilities for the local community; such as ICT, sports and arts facilities. This includes adult learning (where need is identified).
